Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
How do I know if I need replacement instead of repair?
Small chips can often be repaired. Longer cracks, damage near the edge of the windshield, deep damage or more severe damage usually require replacement. Send us a photo and we can help determine the right next step.
Do you offer OEM glass?
Yes. OEM and quality aftermarket glass options are available depending on the vehicle, part availability, customer preference and insurance or warranty requirements.
Will my windshield need ADAS recalibration?
If your vehicle has a forward-facing camera or other windshield-related ADAS equipment, recalibration may be required after windshield replacement. We identify the vehicle and required procedure before completing the service.
Can windshield replacement be mobile?
Yes. Windshield replacement and any required static, dynamic or dual ADAS recalibration can be completed through our mobile service.
Can every chip be repaired?
No. Repairability depends on the size, depth, location and overall condition of the damage. Some chips and cracks require windshield replacement instead.
Will the chip disappear?
Not always. The main purpose of a rock-chip repair is to stabilize the damaged area and reduce the chance of it spreading. Some visible evidence may remain after the repair.
How many chips can you repair?
We can repair up to three eligible chips during the same visit under our current rock-chip pricing.
What is ADAS recalibration?
ADAS recalibration is a vehicle-specific procedure used to restore the correct reference points for cameras and other driver-assistance systems after certain repairs or changes to the vehicle.
How do I know if my vehicle has a windshield camera?
Many vehicles have a forward-facing camera mounted near the rearview mirror at the top of the windshield. We can also identify the vehicle’s ADAS equipment and required procedure using the year, make, model and VIN.
Why can windshield replacement require ADAS recalibration?
A forward-facing camera views the road through the windshield. Replacing the glass can change the camera’s relationship to the windshield and its reference to the road, which is why the vehicle manufacturer may require recalibration after replacement.
What is static vs. dynamic recalibration?
Static recalibration is performed with the vehicle stationary using the required targets, measurements and calibration equipment. Dynamic recalibration is completed while the vehicle is driven under specified road and operating conditions. Some vehicles require both procedures in sequence.
Can ADAS recalibration be done mobile?
Yes. Static, dynamic and dual ADAS recalibration can all be completed through our mobile service. Static procedures are performed at the vehicle’s location using the required equipment and setup, while dynamic procedures are completed on the road.
How long does ADAS recalibration take?
The time depends on the vehicle and whether it requires a static, dynamic or dual procedure. Vehicle condition, diagnostic faults and road or environmental requirements can also affect the process. We can provide a better estimate once we identify the required procedure.
Why would a calibration fail?
Diagnostic faults, camera damage, alignment or suspension conditions, incorrect vehicle setup, weather, road conditions or communication issues can interfere with completion. If a calibration does not complete, we review the available information and determine the next step.
What if the calibration will not complete?
If a calibration does not complete, we check for diagnostic faults, vehicle conditions, setup requirements or other issues that may be preventing the procedure from finishing. We then explain what needs to be corrected or diagnosed before another calibration attempt.
Do you replace door, back, quarter, side and vent glass?
Yes. We replace door glass, back glass, quarter and side glass, and vent glass, subject to part availability for the specific vehicle.
Do you clean up broken glass?
Yes. Accessible broken glass in the work area is cleaned up as part of the replacement service.
Do you replace sunroof and panoramic roof glass?
Yes. We replace sunroof and panoramic roof glass for supported applications. Mechanical problems involving tracks, motors or other roof mechanisms are separate from the glass replacement itself.
Can you come to my home or work?
Yes. Our services can be completed mobile at homes, workplaces, dealerships, fleet locations, job sites and other suitable service locations.
When would I use the shop instead of mobile service?
All of our services can be completed mobile. Our shop is also available when a customer prefers in-shop service or when weather, access or the service location makes the shop a better option.
Do you work with insurance?
Yes. We can assist with eligible auto-glass insurance claims and provide the information and documentation needed for the service. Coverage and deductibles are determined by the individual policy.
Do you work with warranty companies?
Yes. We work with warranty and service-contract companies. Some repairs require authorization before service begins, and we can assist with that process.
Can insurance or warranty coverage include ADAS recalibration?
Yes. ADAS recalibration may be covered when it is required as part of an eligible glass claim or covered repair. Coverage depends on the individual policy or contract.
What information should I send for RV glass?
Send the year, make, model, VIN, chassis information when available, the location of the damaged glass, clear photos and any markings or numbers printed on the glass.
Can you work on heavy equipment at the job site?
Yes. Heavy-equipment glass service can be completed mobile at the job site. We confirm access, glass requirements and the work area before scheduling.
Do you cut custom equipment glass?
Yes. We can custom-cut laminated glass on site for appropriate flat-glass applications. Curved or application-specific glass is ordered when required.
Do you offer commercial accounts?
Yes. We work with dealerships, fleets and other commercial accounts. Services can include mobile glass replacement, ADAS recalibration, scheduling coordination, PO/account billing and vehicle-level documentation.
Can you support multiple locations?
Yes. We can support businesses with multiple locations and organize service around centralized contacts, individual location contacts or a combination of both.
